Reality = Brick wall
my vacation was cut short by the unimaginable.
On Wednesday morning the baby died. We called her monks or monkey. My good friend, her niece's baby born just 5 months before my niece. We're not sure how yet the autopsy is today and results in 3 days. She was by far the strongest, healthiest and happiest baby I knew. She died in her sleep. There is not a moment in her short life where she was not loved adored or cared for, she is and forever will be extremely missed. I called my sister and had her kiss the baby. Wednesday was the longest day of my life or what it felt like the waiting game to catch the next plane from Chicago airport back home... 9 hours of waiting and about a 4 hour flight back to California with another roughly 2 hour drive home, we got in at 3 am on Thursday. I spent all day Wednesday with my friend all day yesterday with the family and my friend, today I needed a bit if a break but I will be going back over there soon. Their family has been nothing but amazing to me and I have been told by more than one member that I am family. I saw the baby more than I was able to see my own niece, I was at the hospital when she was born... and the past year has been amazing watching her grow.
She is going to be buried in her birthday dress, she was just shy of 1 years old.
Rest in peace little angel.
