Bubbles, Eggs and "Good Times"
Weekend rehash;
Well Friday after I got off work my friend Siouxsie met me at my house so we could color Easter eggs (I know I am a raging 20 something right?). Easter is very sentimental to her for reasons I will leave out and she wanted to color the eggs how here Aunt used to using ferns, pansies and onion shells/skins. The only thing we were missing was the pansies, so I started calling the grocery stores in town that were still open (I get off work 'round 10:45 so by this time it is around 11:45 or so, not many florists open this late...) We got no where..So we decided to go pick peoples flowers and go on a pansy hunt. It was fun we drove all over town looking at places we knew had flowers, houses and business'. Well we found look-alike pansies but no real pansies so we decided to head back home and try what we had. If it didn't work then we would go in the morning and get some from a local nursery. We had a blast, laughed our asses off at our Martha Stewartness (well attemoted Martha Stewartness) and just were silly. I love that when we get together I forget all my problems and we just live in the moment and act like we are six. Before we knew it 5:30 am rolled around and we decided we had to stop the fun and go to bed b/c we had to be up in a couple of hours to go down to LA for the day. We woke up at 8:30am and got ready to head out. While I was in the shower she went and bought me a coffee I love that she does sweet little things like that (the other day she spent the night I ran and got her coffee while she was in the shower because she had to be at work really early that day and we were up late) it's so little but so nice. We headed down to Orange County to go see the Bubblefest. We were both so excited, we love bubbles (again being six) we were sooo excited! So we get there at 12 and the 12:30 show was sold out (we were a little shocked, we didn't know so many people would be there...Each show holds 300 people) So we decide to wait in line and buy our tickets now for the next show at 2pm. In the time we waited on line the 2pm show also sold out WTF!?! So we had to wait for the 3:30 show. We had some time to kill so we went to go eat and come back. When we went back we checked out the discovery center and looked around then waited in the line to see the show...We were in the front of course! So the show was amazing! He is in the Guinness book of world records 5 times for the things he can go with bubbles...He even recently at one of the shows broke his world record and put 30 people in one bubble. It was cool! Since we had to go to the late show were missed out on what else we had planned for that day but that's cool, we stopped at Randys Donuts just so we could take a picture :D and try a donut. I don't eat many donuts but honestly I think the hype is more of the fact that it is famous... Then we were going to stop at Sunset but we both weren't paying attention and missed the exit so we just headed home. We stopped on the way home and took a picture of something she had wanted to do for a very long time. When we got to her house I decided that we should go watch the sunset at the beach. We went and got some hot chocolate and went to the beach and chilled, the sunset was so beautiful. We brought the bubble gun I bought her for Christmas and some other bubbles and just blew bubbles, played and laughed. It was fun. She does bring out the little kid in me, the best in me. We took a bunch of pictures and laughed like crazy; we were shooting people with bubbles as they walked by. It was a perfect day of wonderful memories. When we got back to my house we stopped at the grocery store to get some food so I could make a couple of dishes for the Easter dinner with the fam, we also stopped and got some Thai food (mmmmmmmmm) we had a great day together, she left around 12:30am and I went to bed, I was pooped. Sunday comes I wake up early make my Greek salad and spinach dip for the dinner, I arrange the Easter baskets I made for my friends and pick up my house a little. A bunch of my friends came over and were talked for a bit then went on an Easter egg hunt (yes we are all adults...Don't judge, it was fun.) I had 100 eggs stuffed full of candy and Siouxsie and I hid them across the street at a local Jr High campus...They were EVERYWHERE! Then the hunt was on! She hid half and I hid half so we didn't know where all of them were. After about 45 minutes we all finished the egg hunt and came back to my house for a bit before I had to leave. Everyone had such a good time, they were all surprised at how fun the egg hunt was. (told ya so) Then I had to jam and head over to my parents house for what turned out to be a really nice dinner. This year I think has turned into the best holidays I have ever had; I find myself looking forward to them!

How perfect. What I loved most about this was the spirit behind it. Even 2 shows being sold out and missing your exit didn't detour you from having a good time. Way to live life. Everyone could take a lesson from you.
Thanks Kathi! We tend to just go with the flow...you can't change it so why whin and cry...just flow with it and enjoy what you have
