Last weekend...

So Siouxsie and I have been hanging out much more lately, I think that we are both a breath of fresh air to each other. I am really blessed to have some friends that no matter how long you are both away when you reunite it is like you never skipped a beat together. We laugh so much when we are together. So we made a promise to hang out and go out of town at least one weekend a month..well for like the past two months that has been almost every weekend...Last weekend I took her Sunday down to LA and we had an "animal" day... I wanted everything to be a surprise but it is sometimes so hard not to tell her what we are going to do 'cause I get all excited about it and I want to blurt it out...it is fun guessing where we are going when during the drive and having the suspense of it all. So we left for the LA Zoo and my what perfect timing we have cause right as we were leaving crowds of people were in line to buy tickets...funny that usually happens to use, the whole timing thing...well except the Bubblefest but it still worked out. Okay so we went to the zoo and had fun looking at all the animals. My mom was always big on zoos and would take us to zoos as a day trip somewhere so this was a happy memory for me and I think it was for Siouxsie too, we had fun...then I took her to the Santa Monica pier to see this. If you get a chance (it comes to your town) or if you live near by before this closes and moves go see it! Boy was it amazing, the exhibit was so beautiful! I really loved it and so did S. from there we walked down a ways to the beach where I had a huge spread for a picnic. I made a lot of really good food (not to toot my own horn too much *toot toot* the food was really good) We grubbed, blew bubbles and flew kites. I was flying my kite and the cutest little boy wanted to hold it so I let him and he was doing good for about 2 minutes then he let go and all I see is his mom running after my kite to catch it and I fell out laughing, it was sort of mean of me to laugh but if you were there you would have laughed too, even she was laughing. Well needless to say I lost my kite but it was okay we had a blast, we swung on the swings and watched the sunset on the beach it was another wonderful day in LA. We had a really nice day...can’t wait for next weekend! We are b-b-qu’in and watching the fight (I LOVE BOXING) so well it’s late and I have to get some sleep. I’ll post something again soon. :)

Emma ANYTIME! :)
I hope you have a wonderful birthday!!!

ahhhhhahahahaha Scum I couldn't while I was sad to loose my kite he barely came up to my knees and it was just too funny watching his mom run in the sand after it with the wind against her....omg it was funny. After they left my friend let me fly her kite and she told me that she thought about letting the little boy hold it but then she said nah (in her head) cause he would let go of it...so it's my bad, I am a sucker for cute kids. He got so excited to see the kites and he ran up to me was I supposed to be subborn and be like no it's my kite...it's okay it's just a kite I'll get another one :)

You had a good time, that's great. I love that exhibit too, where else on blogland did I see it? Mmmmmmm, Nabeel's I think. I've saved some of the pics from it, very cool stuff.
But, I'm glad you have a friend like that, so comfy to be with. It's a blessing.

OH Sass are you saying there were flowers on the date?!? Doooo tell!!

Yeah we laugh like crazy and I do feel really comfortable with her; we have a great friendship that I will try to cherish every moment that I have now b/c I know we don't have that much time left. She plans on moving south in January, I plan on moving north in August (07) and well flat out you never know if our time is up. She has a serious medical thing that the docs told her she wouldn't live past 8...she's proving them wrong (at 36) and I am SO glad for that. Kathi I love exhibits that tend to be more organic and include animals. (Scum called me a hippy so I guess I have some hippy tendencies) But I am okay with that. I like to think it is the artist part of me. Oh guess what some of my art is going to be publish locally!!! Yeah how cool is that! (Siouxsie set it up without me knowing...I am so glad she is a part of my life, I really am. She brought inspiration back to me)
