Not really, I didn’t cook it all that often and I had spent a good 6 months to a year before I nixed it all completely. Every once in a while Que or something meaty will sound really good but I still decline.

What is this silly little thing wrong with me

Giddy. I am giddy.

I have this stupid perma grin on my face and I can’t seem to make it go away and I don’t necessarily want it to.

So it all sort of started on last Saturday. I have been hanging out with my severely lost and depressed friend who has had her heart broken; yeah not so fun but what can I say. So we went to the Saturday morning farmers market to get some fruits and veggies and I ran into my friend’s boyfriend JD and his friend J (who is hawt!!) We introduce and are making small chat. Now for sake of details JD and H (his boyfriend) are gay.

In the back of my mind I am thinking: I don’t see H and I haven’t talked to him in a long time either I think ohhh how sad JD and H must have broke up...which makes me sad cause I knew H really loved JD soooo then JD says oh and H is around here somewhere and immediately I size up J again since he is f’in hot. :) I am trying to figure out if he is straight or gay but I can’t tell so I figure he’s gay just to be on the safe side...So JD tells me that they are just there picking up some things to que and invites V and I to par-take in the que later that day. I was so intrigued by J, he had a great smile and was very handsome.

Cut to later that day.

I am helping V find a new place to live and since she lives two blocks from JD and H we decide to stop by before we head down with our laptops to be pretend hipsters at a coffee shop to surf rental listings. The que was fabulous, J was there so I ask my friend H if he is straight, he is!!!! My little insides squeal with delight, hooray!

So we are all chatting it up and having a good time eating and drinking and J catches me sneaking a peek at him and I am sure I turn red, he smiles I smile, we flirt very mildly. Then H who gets loud and flamboyant when he drinks screams across the yard "**insert my name here** have you met my wonderfully straight neighbor J?" to which I reply "Well I did at the market but J nice to meet you again I am **, H’s very straight friend. We shake hands again and tease H a little about his alcohol level :) We all laugh and get a kick out of it, I mean really have you ever heard of introducing yourself as gay or straight but at his que it was just perfect (us two were the only straight people there besides S and V)

The que was a blast and we had a great time so as we are leaving I go to get H’s number again; I didn’t know it since my phone was stolen back in January. I am ready to enter it in my phone and J happens to be standing right next to H and J jokingly starts telling me his number, so I joke back well I’ll take that one too ;) So then he tells me the whole thing and looks to see if I got it right *points* I got it down right :) Then he asks me if I like sushi (which I love!) and suddenly I have his digits and we have a date for sushi but I tell him that we will have to plan a sushi lunch if it is during the week since I work nights. He says no problem and tells me the sooner I call him the better :)

(If you know me you would know that while I get hit on I rarely accept or flirt back and if I do I flirt very coyly and tend to shy away; not sure why I do but I do. I have a wall and tend to be a no bullshit type so if I think there is no chance of a connection I won’t waste my time or yours and I will be frank about it. And really I am PICKY, not many people catch my fancy)

So Saturday started this silly little grin on my face and the butterflies in my tummy; gawd haven’t had those in a LONG time!!!

I call Monday but poop he didn’t pick up...I leave a message (something I almost never do, I was teased eternally for how young I sound on the phone and it has made me hate the sound of my voice on machines) He calls back 20 minutes later, you can tell we are both a little nervous and we joke make a little small talk plan for Saturday sushi and plan to see each other again for the 4th at other que they are putting on.

I got a late start for the fourth and had to finish an exam for a class, so I spend most of my morning writing my 3000 words minium paper. Post it to the class website and have a beer. :)

I took V with me to the que and I wore the white dress. It is the dress that I get the most compliments on; halter style and fits in all the right places secret weapon! It’s cotton and very summery flowy, it is that dress that you find every once in a blue moon that was just made for you, already perfectly tailored like they had a mold of your body when they made it type of dress. :) *evil grin* Yeah I wore that one with a pair of red braided leather flip flops and my silly smile.

So J and I chatted some more, drink and laugh but I gotta go cause there was another que that I promised I would go to; V and I take off and head over to the other que. I make maybe plans to come back and ride with everyone on the beach cruisers to the beach to watch the fireworks with them (them also includes J). V has made other plans and is going to go watch the fireworks with her ex, they come and pick her up and so I drive her car back to her house which happens to be around the corner from J and H’s houses. H calls me and tells me to come over that they are going to leave soon to head down to the beach. I change into some jeans and walk over.

We all head down to the beach but get side tracked along the way; we end up watching the fireworks on someone’s lawn :) Good times.

JD and H head back to their house, L left to the beach, V is with B and that leaves N, J and I still on the bikes and downtown. J gets a call from his boss' inviting him to a local dive bar so we all head over for a drink. The bar was pretty empty but it was a blast they bought the first round and I bought the second to which J insisted I not but I reminded him that he’s buying me sushi on Saturday. We get a little more close and have a couple of accidental bump into’s. I am really staring to dig him; he seems really cool, down to earth and great. All of us are socializing with everyone at the bar and we are having a great time :) After about 3 margaritas I challenge J to a foos ball match (haha I won by 3! He was good too!, He def didn’t let me win on purpose) Around this time it is maybe 12:30 or so, we bake back to H’s house and meet up with them again.

N goes home leaving JD, H, J and myself. :) I got the giggles, they were making me laugh so hard that I couldn’t breath. We lit our own illegals (fireworks) and enjoyed the show. I was on a cloud. J and I were flirting much more directly now probably because the alcohol was flowing in our veins. He took me over and I saw where he lived and all that met his roommate and then we went back to H’s. We were really having a good time, everyone kept laughing and calling my phone just to hear it ring (I just changed my ring tone to a lion roaring, I love it, makes me laugh) apparently it makes everyone else laugh too.

Well it was getting late (2:30am and everyone but me had to be at work early in the morning) and so I was going to crash at V’s around the corner and J offered to walk me there. He went and got me a sweater (ahh how sweet! *points for him) and I said bye to everyone and we talked and walked. I told him that I had a great time and he did too the whole vibe was nice. It was all very sweet. As we said goodbye I gave him a very innocent sweet, lips barely parted kiss. He blushed a little and we said short goodbyes then he kissed me, the same way just a little harder holding hands. :)

I was tingling, I know that I just met J last Saturday but I can’t help the butterflies I feel. I went to bed with a grin and woke up with one. I think that I am really digging on him and I think the feeling is mutual.

So I have this stupid grin that I can’t stop and I feel like a silly little kid; it feels great!

I am giddy, me. Giddy!

I ain’t felt this way in years :)

2. Favorite movies? Too many to list; I love scary and funny movies and the occasional sappy ones :)

3. Do you own a gun? No but I think after I learn proper care, technique and safety I might. I learned how to shoot a gun :)

5. Favorite Scent? Clean sheets, fresh laundry, Ralph Lauren Blue, baby powder...I think I have a clean obsession :)

6. Do you like hot dogs? Nope, I gave up eating meat 2 years ago but even when I did I didn't care all that much for them

11. What's your most liked piece of jewelry? My diamond ring that I wear on my ring finger; my grandpa gave it to me, since this may be his last year with us I wear it everyday to remind myself of him.

12. What do you take for pain relief? I don't like pills and think that I have a high tolerance for pain so unless it's a migraine and I am doubled over in tears I just deal with it.

What is your secret weapon to lure in the opposite sex? not sure yet, I want to say honesty but I haven't lured anyone in with that I think; my ex told me he finally asked me out one day at my job when I wore my black leather boots. He said that was it and he had to ask right then. I am a shoe whore and I own tons of pairs of boots, love them!
